Well I survived

So I went into the hospital for what I thought was just a bottle brush cleaning of the vein in my neck. When I got the bandage off what you see above is what Dawn saw .

The look on Dawns face was OMG I hope he doesn’t explode, and she was very easy on me for a week or so as I healed.  So I found out that after this I was not going back to work for 2 weeks , no one bothered to let me know untill about a week away . I thought I go in and go back to work a few days later. It’s been about 3 weeks now and I’m back to work but the scar wound is still healing and after about 6 hours when the aspirin stops working I get a little cranky.

So I have lost 40 lbs I got my neck slashed and now everyone wants me to quit smoking , this has been a fun week ” I don’t know why Eric is screaming at everyone”. I have quit before and everyone has been giving me advice on how to do it. I had to post on Facebook if anyone gives me more advice I would put out a cigaret in their eye.

More email hosting issues

Moved most some of my sites back to GoDaddy , not sure why when other post’s said I was trying to move away from GoDaddy. I did find out that Microsoft Exchange / email problem went away when I just use Godaddy as a DNS server.

One of the sites that was setup for email worked great on WordPress using exchange I moved the site back to GoDaddy and I couldn’t get Outlook the program to work. I used a “help me fix it” program from Microsoft and it helped a little. Soon as I moved the site back to WordPress and just used GoDaddy to point it everything started working again.

I should have just left well enough alone and stayed with WordPress.

It’s been a wile since I posted , but since then I have got Diabiets and need the veins in my neck cleaned out . That’s the short story very short. Dawn was out of town when the sugers hit me and it changed the the way I live a lot. No more carbs that means beer as I thought , but that’s not what I’m I am here to talk about to tonight.

As you get older your veiws change and even though the operation I will be having is not out of the normal , I have lost to many friends this year. It’s the price thay comes with old age I guess.

Tonight Dawn heads home from her vacation and I am here putting on a pitty party for myself, it could be worse. I have had friends to keep an eye on me and try to keep my spirits up , and that has helped.

 

Windows Fall Update is here

Well it’s here and it’s not much different from the preview I was running on a laptop and an older desktop. There are some new apps that will help higher end computers with AR and VR, one of the updates I was looking forward to was the one drive files on demand.

That app/service is not working as Microsoft intended as of just yet, seems the option is on some of the installs. If not you have to download the “one drive” newest program and run it to even see the option for files on demand. Even then not all the folders are showing up correctly . I hope they fix this soon .

It has slowed the system a bit , have not tried it on the gaming computer. I will try “gaming” this weekend and report back.

Waiting on the fall update

Been waiting for the Windows 10 fall creators update for a month or so , in the preview program it should be out by now. I have loaded the latest preview a number of times and all it keeps doing is crashing the computer ( 16251 iso ) . Its to the point where I don’t want to load it because I don’t think it will move on to the next update with out freezing up.

Just for the hell of it I loaded Windows S on the system ( you need Pro to try it ) and It would have been great if it was a “lite” version of windows but its not . It just windows Pro without anyway to run exe files. I created a account for my grandson to play with and asked him to see if he could brake it . No luck so far , it would be a great OS for those who don’t know anything about computers or kids.
