Dawn Out of town

So it’s a week with the wife out of town, this time its Thailand with her sister. It was suppose to be with our daughter till Alex broke her foot. The holiday tip was a birthday trip for both of them but that changed real fast.

So I was not looking forward to this week as I had the grandson to take to school and pick up at the end of his day while trying to work. Withe his mom breaking her foot now I have 2 people and a dog to deal with. It’s not a bad thing having Alex at the house its been a while since she has spent any time at home. Just going a little stir crazy being in the house so much.

Dawn and Joyce look like they are having a great time, playing with the elephants is got me so jealous but the flight took ms of a day to get there. The photo’s I am seeing look awesome.

Off to see Hugh Jackman

So the wife got us tickets to see Hugh Jackman one man show in Vegas this weekend. I love him as a actor and have seen bits and pieces of some of his shows where he is dancing and singing.

Got to Las Vegas late on Friday night, I was surprised I stayed up so late 1am is way past my bedtime. Vegas temperature around this time of year 110F during the day so you want to avoid going outside for long.

The trip was a good time and I came home with money in my pocket,my son had to driver back home ( 4 hours ) with a nasty hangover…lol.

Mother’s Day at The Peppermill

Its always nice to have a stay-cation once in a while, even better when the rooms are free. Well not exactly free if you count in the cost of playing the slots, but that can vary also. Not much into playing the slots today but the wife will be more then willing to play for me.

It’s a nice hotel and we know a lot of the bartenders so it makes it fun to hangout. I have to work from here for the next 3 days so I get to people watch and hear all the stories about drunks on the gaming floor.

Monday: I had to go to work while the wife had her spa day. My day didn’t go so well dropped a printer on my right ankle and a battery backup unit on my left ankle.

Well all in all she had a good weekend and was very relaxed when she left. I think it was nice to get home to my own bed.

Nonchalant About Roma

So my wife tells me we can’t come to Rome anymore because I’m not a excited about it as I used to be. We are here for 2 weeks and this is my 5th trip to Rome and I have been a tour guide so many times I hope its just a tired of running around thing.

This time we are here with my son and his girlfriend Emma and I think they are enjoying themselves. He got a chance to have his birthday in another country, so both the kids have been here now. We told Alex and Damein one trip each the next time its on you to come back.

One of the things we did different this time was rent an apartment for the 2nd week very near the Pantheon and it has no lift.Bad idea, 45 steps to my room and 65 steps to my sister-in-law’s room.Now that is after 20K steps a day looking around at everything else.

As I write this i’m at one of our favorite place’s the Di Rienzo in the plaza with the Pantheon,we have coming here every night after walking and the stall seems to have adopted us. One of the waiters I remembered from when my daughter was here and I found out he has been working here for 14 years.

Yesterday we were off for a fast tour of Florence another city I love and today they are off to Tivoli,Italy. I felt a little bad this morning like I was catching a cold so it was nap day for me.You need nap days when you are here.

Grandson’s Birthday

How did he get so big is what they always say,but its true he has grown so fast .

We have been teasing him all week about getting socks and underwear so that’s what we got him. With a new $100 bill at the bottom. With that, he wanted to go to Gamestop.
