Is it a product of the airline industry or am I just doing it to myself? I remember being so excited to go vacation in the 90’s not sure it feels the same. I got screwed more than enough time by the airlines that I feel different now. Just check old posts from this blog.
We leave for Itay on Wednesday and working this Monday and Tuesday is killing me with thoughts running around in my brain about the trip and are the flights on time and did I get everything done at work.
So for the next few month’s, I will be traveling quite a bit. We have the Tuscany region first and I will be doing some driving for the first time in Italy. I have driven in the UK, Scotland, and Ireland ( to the left to the left to the left..left..left ). So it should not be a problem, the rest of the crew we are going with says I should get an International license. When I asked about it at the rental company about having one in Ireland he just giggled and sent us on my way.
BTW if you go a barber in Ireland make sure they speak English if you ask for a “trim” of your beard. What was I talking about…
The next trip will be to Florida in February ( Dinsey world ) I so wish it wasn’t in Florida ( read previous blogs about Florida ).
And then in March back to Roma with my sister in law and son and girlfriend, it will be the sons and the girlfriend to Italy. Not sure if I posted about the last time my sister in law took a trip to Italy with us ( long story with crying ). My son is so excited about going he has been asking about everything we can go see.
I would like to post the photos and story’s of the trip’s here and not on Facebook, let’s see how that goes…
Came down here to see Sandy and Theresa renew their wedding vows, it was a ceremony done by a Cher look alike. And man did he look like Cher. All in all, it was a fun weekend, on Saturday we when to a drag brunch and “man” they were funny. Get it “man”…
Now its time to fly home, glad its a short flight.
Today’s city Dawn found a house in she would like to move to, it’s near Monaco and is cute.
So the weekend starts off in Harvey’s Lake Tahoe , and the last time I stayed there It was my birthday years ago . I also think it was our first time staying at Harvey’s. The room we got was a suite with 2 rooms and views of the lake , it has a tub you could lay in and see the lake. This time we get a nice young lady with an accent checking us in and she said we “qualified for a upgrade”…oh great I think.
The upgrade I think this time was a bed and a working toilet , very disappointed. But the casino floor was where I would be spending most of my time so I didn’t say anything. The machines were not doing bad and ended up staying out to late and i knew what that ment ( hangover ) .
The next day ( after something for my head ) we ate at Ace’s Smoke House for the 2nd time and again they have to be the best BBQ in Tahoe. We had some friends coming up for the show and they used a Lyft a few time’s and said it wasn’t that expensive.
As for the show I didn’t think I would get to see Robert Plant before he or I died , the show was so good .
Los lobos was the warmup band and they sounded good and the area was so small you could see everything . The crowd was a mix of older folks but that is what I expected.
Robert Plant sounded so awesome and the he didn’t miss a beat for the whole show.
