Proud Cabaret London

Went there on a Groupon ticket , paid $130 dollars for 2 tickets. Found out if you buy the tickets at the door on Thursday they cost $39 pounds each. Our tickets covered the meals and the show , I got 2 bottles of 28 pound wine and 2 extra glass’s at 18 pounds. The bill came and it was 130 pounds , they charged us for bread we didn’t order and “other fee’s ” they said. So a night out at this place cost me $500. US I would avoid it. In my opinion . Visit was on the 5th November.

Updated : I have been in contact with “Alex Proud”is the name the email comes in from

Tickets on the door are show only? Not for a meal?!! So that is not true?!
Dinner tickets are £50 or $80 at least?

You chose what wine you ordered? Did we make you buy it? There was £19 wine?! You chose to buy the wine, how is that our fault?

Sides are charged extra, as they are at most restaruants? Esp when Group on?

And we do sell the programme, if you don’t like it we can refund it and on the night or after we are happy to do this

So what exactly is it you think we did wrong?
Alex

After I explained to him about the extras and service fee’s again I sent him this :

My response “The bill was 116.81 pounds , what I drank was 74 pounds. What I see as the difference is 42.81 pounds, is what I’m disputing. ” And the reviews will be corrected to say that there was a miss understanding to what was covered by the Groupon and I worked with Alex from Proud Cabaret to correct the issue .”

Alex Proud responded asking how much it would cost?  (to make this go away is how I took it ) asking me to take the reviews down.

It has been over a week and I have not heard back….

HP Stream 7 and buyers remorse

In the beginning of this year I bought a Stream 7 from the Microsoft store, its a 7 in tablet with a small hard drive and a gig of ram. The device came with Windows 8.1 desktop version and I was hoping when Windows 10 came out Microsoft would send a “mobile” operating system to the device.

With Win 8.1 desktop it was very frustrating to use , the screen is to small to be clicking on the menus. The battery life was not to bad once you removed all the software you didn’t need, so we wait for Windows 10.

Windows 10 come’s out and the “desktop” version is loaded into the Stream 7. It almost kills the device…you can’t type the touch screen “sometimes” works. I have wiped it clean twice and reinstalled ( takes days in some case’s ) and no help. I contacted HP and they more or less said “your shit out of luck”. The battery now last’s 4 hours if I’m lucky.

If you run across one of these Stream 7 tablets avoid it at any price, not sure why HP let their logo put on this now “paper weight”.

****Update**** HP called me back and bought back the Stream 7 and I bought another one of HP’s laptops.

Windows Phone

A day with a lumia 735 ( Windows phone 8.1 ) first off the Iphones are $800 plus this phone was $199 out the door no more payments. That said

Will it do Facebook …yes
Will it do Twitter…yes
Will it do Google +…..Fuck NO
Will it do email and surf the internet…yes

I should give you some background I’m testing Windows 10 and the newest build ( 10162 ) and its coming to a computer near you soon ( by the end of the month )

Cortana is Windows phone Siri and in Windows 10 I asked it to send a email to one of my contacts and it did, with no errors in via voice commands on the first try. It also launched Chrome and Internet Explorer at my request ( voice request )

The phone will not do this just yet , buy Windows 10 will be coming to it soon after the computers.

Now you know what I do for fun on a Friday night…I am a party god… ‪#‎lumia735‬ ‪#‎windowsphone‬ ‪#‎windows10‬

Change back to Microsoft

In the last day or so I was getting frustrated with Gmail “labels” so I thought lets try Outlook.com as my main email. I have Outlook 2013 and I like the way it looks and works , so I set Outlook.com to import all the info from Gmail. Wow that was easy to do, all the folders and saved mail came in with no problems at all. I set up a forward in Gmail and I should be done.

Go to set up my Apple mail program for Outlook.com : Not supported ( that’s ok works on the phone )

Go to set up Outlook in the Windows 8 PC : Worked for about a week on a fresh install of Windows 8,after a re install of Office 2013 it will get mail but no calender or contacts.

Go to set up Outlook on the Windows 7 PC : Works fine.

Go to set up the Outlook app for the Nexus 7: Worked when I rarely used it but opening and closing it often cased it to fail even on a simple “reply” email and the interface is just horrible.

Microsoft if you want to be a “services” company how about you make something that works “everywhere”  sorry to say like Google. I did all the diagnostics and I am not re-installing Windows 8 again.

Thanks going back to Gmail “services
